About Us: Our Journey

Hey there! We're Wei Lee and Nareerat, and we're super excited to share our story with you. We're a husband-and-wife duo, with Wei Lee handling all things tech and operations, while Nareerat is the mastermind behind all our delicious food creations.

How It All Started: From Home Kitchen to Your Table

Our journey into the food business kicked off during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many, we found ourselves with a bit more time on our hands and started dreaming up ways to create something special together. That's when the idea for our first home-based business, "Uncle Leaw Thai Seafood," was born! (We got the "Leaw" from Wei Lee's surname, and it sounded pretty catchy, inspired by some local spots).

Taking the Plunge and Learning Hard Lessons

We were so pumped because "Uncle Leaw Thai Seafood" really took off! The support we got from everyone during that time was incredible and super encouraging. It convinced us to take a leap of faith and open a physical stall. So, we found a spot at a coffee shop at Lor 8 Toa Payoh, #01-01, Singapore 310211.

Honestly, that was one of the toughest times of our lives. We were completely new to running a physical stall, and it was a steep learning curve. Despite our best efforts, the business at the stall just wasn't picking up. And then, well, things just didn't work out, and we had to close down. It was a huge blow, especially since we had stocked up on so many things and had to take a big loss. We were pretty down in the dumps after that.

Bouncing Back: The Birth of Moo Teow Minced Pork Noodle

But you know what? We dusted ourselves off and started thinking about what to do next. We decided to go back to our roots with a home-based business again. Our first attempt was "Mee.Coffee," where we offered coffee, tea, and waffles. However, it wasn't quite hitting the mark compared to selling food.

So, we went back to the drawing board. After a lot of research, development, and a fair bit of trial and error, we landed on something we truly loved: Thai-Chinese Minced Pork Noodle! And that's how Moo Teow Minced Pork Noodle came to be. The name "Moo Teow" is actually Thai, with "Moo" meaning pork and "Teow" meaning noodle.
